The story behind the paintings
Steph is a self-taught fine artist based in Surrey, UK. She works predominately with acrylics and oils on stretched canvas, though enjoys experimenting with different mediums and techniques. From clay sculpting to needle felting, she happily fulfils the broadest of artistic briefs.

Creativity has been a constant in Steph's life since she first held a pencil. For her, art isn't just a passion, it's both a form of therapy and rewarding to help bring people's ideas to life.

Painting a variety of subjects, from portraits to landscapes to animals, Steph creates what she feels speaks to, and inspires her and prefers not to stick to one set genre of work. Living by the Surrey Hills (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), she is often inspired by the scenery and wildlife that resides there. Other sources of inspiration are places she's visited (or would like to) and portraits that capture the beauty of humanity.
